Boko Haram releases video of attack on Giwa Barracks [WATCH]

Members of the Jama’atu Ahlus Sunnati Lidda’awati Wal Jihad, otherwise known as Boko Haram has released yet another video footage of their March 14 attack on Giwa Barracks in Maiduguri, the Borno State capital.

The 23 minutes 57 seconds footage revealed how the extremists attacked the barracks in an attempt to release their members there.


The video opens with an Arabic inscription, بسم الله الرحمن الأكثر، والرحمن الرحيم (which means, In The Name of Allah, The Most Beneficent, The Most Merciful.


A voice from the background says, وتخاض الحرب الدائرة بين البلدان الأفريقية، وخاصة نيجيريا لحماية حق النبي محمد. نحن دوافع الحرب ونحن لن نتوانى (which is being translated as, “The ongoing war across African countries, especially Nigeria is being fought to protect the right of Prophet Mohamed (SAW). We motivated the fight and we promise not to stop.


The foot soldiers shouted Allahu Akbar (God is Great) as they release bullets continuously into the barracks.
