Taekwondo experts storm Abuja for 2nd CCSF Open


500 Taekwondo experts from over 8 African countries have arrived Abuja for what is going to be the best taekwondo tournament in Nigeria.





This year’s event is coming on the heels of the first which held in October 2012 courtesy of the Chika Chukwumerije Sports Foundation (CCSF).



The highpoint of the tournament will be the duel between Oyetoro Hafiz aka Saka and three-time Olympic medallist, Chika Chukwumerije. Continue...







According to organisers, the 2nd CCSF International Taekwondo tournament will hold in Abuja from Oct. 19th -20.







The Chika Chukwumerije Sports Foundation is an NGO dedicated to the empowerment of youths through sports in addition to promoting education. They have been able to empower upcoming and elite athletes by spearheading this cause which is the biggest of all their yearly sports programmes for all categories of people and also offer scholarship to deserving beneficiaries in Africa.



With programmes like DRILL THEM FIT CAMPAIGN, INSPIRE THE FUTURE CAMPAIGN, ELITE TRAINING CAMP, TRAINING WORKSHOPS FOR U-20, CCSF INTERNATIONAL TAEKWONDO OPENS, CCSF END of YEAR KIDDDIES TAEKWONDO PARTY, the foundation is able to properly reach out to youth and children as well as elite athletes in their quest to empower and improve sports and education across Africa from Nigeria.



A programme of event states that the open starts with accreditation of participants from across 8 countries, 25 Nigerian states, 7 universities and more on Thursday October 17th, and preparation for the 2 day non-stop showdown at the Ladi kwali hall, Abuja Sheraton hotel.
