2 persons lost their lives in an accident which occurred at the notorious Ovia river bridge on the Benin-Lagos road.
According to an eyewitness account, the accident was said to have occurred when a Hiace bus tried to overtake a trailer on the bridge.
One of the passengers was said to have died on the way to the University of Benin Hospital (UBTH), while the other died at the hospital.
Other persons who said to have sustained injuries were also taken to the hospital where they are receiving treatment.
