A young Syrian girl was stoned to death by a militant group for having a Facebook account.
According to the Daily Bhaskar, Fatoum Al-Jaseem was taken to a Sharia court by Sunni militants after she was caught operating an account on the social network in Rakka, Syria.
The court ruled that having a Facebook account is as sinful as adultery and sentenced the girl to death by stoning.
The group that brought the girl to court was the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria, or ISIS.
