Quite often we pass by movie posters, mostly in the streets, featuring photos of half-unclad actresses, which seems to not be a good idea as it is being displayed in public places.
These movie posters are there to give a hint on what the film is all about and lure people to purchase the movie.
For so many people, who tend to be lovers of Nollywood films, they can testify to this. Seventy to eighty percent of Nollywood movie producers prefer to use half-unclad pictures of actresses to advertise their movies on posters, which of course, boosts sales. But those that buy them are soon in for disappointment when find the content of the film entirely different from what is being projected on the posters.
Movie-watchers have appealed to producers to stop showcasing these explicit photos and contents publicly.
This is because many parents take their children out or send them on errands and the kids get glued to these posters and start oogling at photos of half-unclad adults.
These set of actresses used for such ‘adverts’ are in the up and coming category. They want to do anything to get fame and money. What then are the moral lessons to be expected from these movies? And if it is P0*nographic in nature, it should not be put out there for public consumption.
The rate at which Nollywood movies are going er*tic is alarming. They are beginning to take indecency as the norm
